heart like a wheel

Navigating the murky terrain of generative AI platforms, ‘Heart Like A Wheel’ is a series of six artworks mingling the tangible with the digitally rendered. Prompting imagery of 80s car commercial, the first editions - complete with grotesquely formed limbs (idiosyncratic with image generation) - are used, in place of furthering prompting. 

The canvases are prepped with graffiti as an entry into the dialogue surrounding ownership and legality . The generated imagery is printed out and placed via ink transfer onto the canvas - turning the once binary coded to the classically esteemed, the tangibly accepted. 

Intercepted with stickers stuck on street posts and graffiti slogans, the imagery thematically delves into pop culture meets site-specific, the borrowed vs stolen, man melts on machine (always on cars as a nod to Industrialisation and the underlying social tensions that continuously shape this fraught relationship).
